Conceptual plan of Head Lake Rotary Park

During the Council meeting on December 15, 2020, Council approved the Head Lake Rotary Park Master Plan as presented by Basterfield & Associates Inc.

The Municipality of Dysart et al hired Basterfield & Associates Inc., an architectural firm from Peterborough to lead a visioning session and to come up with a conceptual plan for Head Lake Rotary Park. In the fall of 2019, stakeholders, staff and Councilors were invited to take part in a visioning workshop with Basterfield & Associates Inc.  During this session, Basterfield asked important questions about the functions of the park, what works and what does not work.  They also asked for potential wish list items.

From there, Basterfield & Associates Inc. took the feedback received and set to work to create a conceptual plan for the park.  This was again presented to the stakeholder group and shared on social media asking for public input on October 20, 2020.  All of the input and suggestions were considered, leading to the plan that was presented to Council.

This plan, which could take 10-20 years to fully implement, allows the municipality to act quickly and apply for funding opportunities as they become available.
