Dysart et al is fortunate to have a modern 24/7 Emergency Department along with a 15 bed in-patient department at the Haliburton Hospital.   If you don't have a doctor or nurse practitioner and live in the County of Haliburton, the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team has information on their website that is helpful to get you started.

Dysart et al owns the Haliburton Medical Centre located at 7217 Gelert Road in Haliburton.   This building hosts the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team as well as other private tenants that support overall healthcare.   

The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit (HKPR) has an office in Haliburton and provides supports to the community around smoking cessation, rabies, potable water testing, harm reduction, public beach water contamination, food safety, community outbreaks and more.

The Volunteer Dental Outreach for Haliburton County offers a community dental assistance program to help those in need with dental care.   The Haliburton Clinic provides urgent dental work through the volunteer dentists, hygienists and assistants.   

Community mental health supports are available through the Haliburton Highlands Health Services, the Canadian Mental Health Association/Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit, Point in Time - Support for Children, Youth and Parents as well as private practitioners throughout the community.

The community is also fortunate to have a full spectrum of private traditional and alternative health care offerings including optometrists, dentists, massage therapists,physiotherapists, natural medicine and much more.
