Open Air Burn Permits

Please read completely before continuing with the application permit.

This is a $150, non-refundable processing fee.

Maximum size remains 2m in diameter/height.

Permits may still be denied by the Chief Fire Official or delegate.

Expect five business days as a minimum to receive site approval when selecting the burning dates.

Residential fire permits are no longer available. The Commercial fire permits are solely for site preparation that must continue in a timely fashion. The permit must include a valid entry, building or demolition permit or a valid business number for a contractor working on the property owners behalf.

Burn Permit Application

A burn permit allows you to burn during non-permitted burning hours between April and October (7am - 7pm).

A Burn Permit Application must be approved by the fire department and may take up to a business week to process.

There is a $150.00 fee to submit your burn permit application.
