Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the successful applicants will have understanding of basic waste management legislation and regulations, promote waste diversion programs and practices, ensure health and safety, assist with landfill site operations, keep electronic and paper records, and provide exceptional customer service including processing payments.
 
Self-motivated applicants must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions with minimal supervision, including interacting with site users, supervising drop-off areas, shoveling snow, and picking up on-site litter. Landfill Attendants are required to work weekends and statutory holidays.

GIS/Planning Technician - Maternity Leave Replacement

The Municipality of Dysart et al is centrally located in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands. Sitting on the Canadian Shield, we are a growing rural community, supported by abundant natural resources, fresh forest air and plenty of clean water in the  hundreds of lakes that are home to both permanent and seasonal residents.

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Land Information, we are looking for a GIS/Planning Technician – Maternity Leave Replacement who is dynamic and self-motivated to be able to provide a broad range of GIS and planning services including managing the Municipality’s GIS, data management and production of cartographic products.

The GIS/Planning Technician – Maternity Leave Replacement position is a 1 year contract position with an hourly wage of $26.12/hour.

Screener - A.J. LaRue Arena

The Municipality of Dysart et al is seeking Screeners to join our team.  

The Screener greets all visitors, staff, and community members as they enter the facility. Screeners will be required to administer COVID-19 screening protocols to all persons entering the facility and to maintain contact tracing information related to their screening duties.
