Committee of Adjustment Members

The Municipality of Dysart et al is currently recruiting three members of the public for the Committee of Adjustment, an independent body appointed by Council under authority granted by the Ontario Planning Act that is tasked with making important decision on applications for minor variances from the provisions of the Municipality’s zoning by-law.

Individuals interested in applying should have a general understanding of planning, the ability to read and understand a zoning by-law and official plan, and an ability to read, review and at times analyze development plans, site plans and architectural plans.

Public members on the Committee of Adjustment are appointed for the four-year term of Council beginning in January 2023 and will receive an allowance of $100/meeting.

Interested applicants can submit an email expressing their interest and outlining their qualifications no later than December 1, 2022, to the attention of Jeff Iles, Director of Planning and Land Information at jiles@dysartetal.ca.
