Roads Department Seasonal Employees

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicants will have sound knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment required for the general maintenance of roads during summer months. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, traffic control, pothole patching and spray patching. Previous road maintenance and/or construction experience is considered an asset.

Self-motivated applicants must be able to work outdoors with minimal supervision. A valid Ontario Class "G" licence is required along with an acceptable abstract. Pursuant to CUPE Local #2142 the rate of pay is $23.33 per hour based on a 40-hour work week.

Seasonal Septic Inspector - Septic Maintenance Inspection Program

2 Position Vacancies Available

Our Sewage System Maintenance Program team consists of our CBO, Sewage System Maintenance Program Supervisor, and 2 Seasonal Septic Inspectors. As 1 of 2 Septic Inspectors, your typical day would include preparing for and completing the days’ scheduled inspections, educating the cottage/homeowner and recording results.  Must enjoy driving and boating around cottage country.

Work is most often performed outdoors in a variety of inclement weather conditions and requires physical demands such as lifting, climbing, etc. The rate of pay is $25.00 per hour with flexible seasonal hours, typically Monday to Friday, and is based on 40 hours per week.
