Enjoy the great outdoors!

There are many parks and outdoor spaces located within the Municipality of Dysart et al. Glebe Park and Head Lake Park have a lot to offer the outdoor enthusiast. The Head Lake Rotary Park Master Plan was approved by Council at the Council meeting on December 15, 2020.

Alongside municipally-owned parks and outdoor spaces, there are private businesses offering great outdoor opportunities as well. Come out and explore Dysart year round.

Playgrounds

There are five playgrounds located in the Municipality of Dysart et al.

Head Lake playground

Located at Head Lake Park, in the village of Haliburton.

Amenities:
  • a playground featuring a zipline, slides, ramps, log jams and much more

Eagle Lake playground

Located in the village of Eagle Lake at Eagle Lake Beach.

Haliburton Lake playground

Located at 1267 Hodgson Road.

West Guilford Outdoor Space and Playground

Located in the Village of West Guilford at 1061 Kennisis Lake Road

Harcourt Community Centre Playground

Located in the Village of Harcourt at 5004 Midway Street.

  • on the grounds of the Harcourt Community Centre

Community Outdoor Rinks

The outdoor rinks are open in the winter, weather permitting.

  • The outdoor rinks are subject to weather conditions.
  • Do not use the rinks during periods of thaw when the ice surface is wet or soft or marked as closed.
  • All community outdoor rinks are unsupervised. Users of the outdoor rinks do so at their own risk. 
  • Skaters are encouraged to wear helmets at all times.  

In addition to the rinks pictured below, there is also an outdoor rink located behind the West Guilford Community Centre at 1061 Kennisis Lake Road, West Guilford.

Tennis and Pickleball Courts

Located in the Village of Haliburton at 2 Park Street.

These are multi-use courts for tennis and pickleball.

Reserved Times for Tennis:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday

8:00 am - 12:00 noon

Reserved Times for Pickleball:

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

8:00 am - 12:00 noon

First Come, First Served Times:

All other days and times, first come, first served. Limit games to 30 minutes if other people are waiting.

No pets allowed.
