Jolly Jog

Formerly known as the “Ugly Sweater Run”. Jingle all the way and catch the holiday spirit as you set out on your 1.5 or 4 km run/walk on Sunday, December 15, 2019! Prizes to be won! All ages, family and dog friendly. Materials to embellish your sweater will be available prior to the run/walk. Refreshments will be available after the run/walk. Like last year, there will be a fun add-on option for those looking to gain some extra holiday cheer. After the run, kick off the festive season with crafts, treats and celebrations inspired by another decade! The Retro Festivities will run until 2:00 pm. POWER OUTAGE

Hydro One has scheduled a planned power outage affecting much of the Haliburton Highlands for November 24, 2019 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Emergency Management Co-ordinators for the County of Haliburton and all four Municipalities advise residents to prepare in advance for the disruption in service. Have sufficient amount of water available for the duration of outage. If you rely on medical equipment (home oxygen). Make sure it will function properly during the power outage or make alternate arrangements Minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors to maintain cool temperatures longer.
