Short-term Renters

We do NOT have curbside pick up in Dysart et al.

There are five waste disposal sites in the Municipality of Dysart et al where you take your garbage and recycling. Hours vary at each landfill site and with each season.

Short-term renters staying at a property in Dysart need to use a "One-Time Landfill Pass" to enter any Dysart landfill.

Property owners can provide a One-Time Landfill Pass to renters to make their stay that much more easy, but short-term renters in Dysart can purchase them too.

One-Time Landfill Passes are $5.00 each and allow short-term renters to dispose of:

• Up to three (3) bags of garbage in clear bags
• Unlimited Recycling sorted into Containers and Papers

A charge of $2.00 per additional bag of garbage will be applied.

One-Time Landfill Passes can be purchased at the Haliburton Landfill, Harcourt Landfill, Kennisis Lake Landfill, and West Guilford Landfill, and the Haliburton Welcome Centre. These sites accept payment by debit card, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

One-Time Landfill Passes have an expiry date. Please purchase accordingly.
There are NO refunds on unused One-Time Landfill Passes.
