Starting Tuesday September 29 and running until December 15 we will be offering a Seniors Skate and Social from 11:00 AM - 1:00PM.
Start off at the A.J. LaRue Arena and skate with Krista, a NCCP trained CanSkate Coach with the Minden Skating Club. This program is ideal for:
- Someone looking to brush up on their skating skills (especially if your skates have collected a layer or dust from years of neglect)
- If you are new to skating and would like to learn
- If you are a seasoned skater and would like to the opportunity to meet other people
- If you want to skate without worry of getting knocked over by a child.
Skate aids, elbow pads, knee pads, and helmets will be available for you to borrow.
After the skate, head across the road the the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 129 for a light lunch and social time. Pre-registration is required, so we know how much food to prepare. Please make sure to register by noon on Thursday for the following Tuesday's program. You can register for individual sessions or for the full program. Spaces are limited, make sure to register early!
If you would like to register for the full program, please register for the first session and then call 705-457-1740 x.635 and ask to be enrolled for the remaining sessions.
There is no fee to participate. This program is funded through a grant from the Seniors Community Fund.
