Significant Weather Event Declaration

Effective March 10, 2026 at 2:00pm

The Municipality of Dysart et al has declared a Significant Weather Event at 2:00pm on March 10, 2026 until further notice due to Freezing Rain.

Up to 20mm of Freeing Rain is forecast for the Haliburton area on Wednesday, March 11. Road users are asked to avoid travel as roadways, parking lots and sidewalks may become icy and hazardous. Service levels may be reduced during the event.

Notice of 2026 Budget Meetings

There will be a Special Meeting of Council on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the 2026 Mayoral Budget. The Municipality has also set January 9 and February 13, 2026 to review the Budget (if required). 

Youth Soccer Registration

Youth Soccer registration opens Monday, March 9 at 7:00 AM. The program is open to school-aged children ages 4–13.

The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is offering a series of workshops for young people thinking about running for municipal office in the October 2026 elections.
