Landfills

There are five landfill sites located within the Municipality of Dysart et al. Hours vary at each landfill site and change seasonally.

A valid Dysart Landfill Identification User Card or One-Time Landfill Pass must be shown to Attendants to access Dysart landfills.
Garbage must be placed in clear bags. Up to three (3) bags of garbage in clear bags accepted per week at no charge.
Recycling is mandatory and must be sorted into Containers and Papers.
You are required to pay disposal fees for dropping off certain items. Haliburton, Harcourt, and West Guilford Landfills accept payment by debit card, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Entering a landfill outside of regular operating hours is trespassing and may result in a fine.
Leaving waste outside of landfills is illegal dumping and may result in a fine.
Scavenging is not permitted and may result in a fine.

West Guilford Landfill

* The West Guilford Waste Disposal Site has temporarily paused the acceptance of materials placed in the construction and demolition waste stream while necessary work is being completed. Material will be accepted no later than September 29th, the Haliburton Waste Disposal Site will operate Tuesdays from 8am - 5pm to help reduce any inconvenience.
