Appliances

Appliances containing chemicals such as Freon, CFCs, R-410A, etc. — including fridges, freezers, water coolers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers — can be dropped off at the Haliburton and Harcourt Landfills for a fee.

Appliances that do NOT contain chemicals such as stoves and ovens can be dropped off at the Haliburton Landfill, Harcourt Landfill, Kennisis Lake Landfill, West Bay Landfill, and West Guilford Landfill.

Scrap Metal

Scrap metal such as metal sinks, metal fencing, metal shelving, etc. can be dropped off at the Haliburton Landfill, Harcourt Landfill, Kennisis Lake Landfill, West Bay Landfill, and West Guilford Landfill.

No scavenging

As per  R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 347, s. 11 scavenging is strictly prohibited.
