Volunteer Fire Department

As with most small communities in Ontario, Municipality of Dysart et al Fire Department relies on volunteers to staff their fire department.

Volunteer firefighters respond to all emergency calls and take part in public education events. The firefighters are also expected to undergo training, including weekly training and firefighter specific certification training.

Typically, the fire department hires new volunteers annually in the fall.
