Mayor                                            -             One (1) to be elected by General Vote of Electors

Deputy Mayor                                -             One (1) to be elected by General Vote of Electors

Councillor, Ward 1                         -             One (1) to be elected by Ward 1 Electors

Councillor, Ward 2                         -             One (1) to be elected by Ward 2 Electors

Councillor, Ward 3                         -             One (1) to be elected by Ward 3 Electors

Councillor, Ward 4                         -             One (1) to be elected by Ward 4 Electors

Councillor, Ward 5                         -             One (1) to be elected by Ward 5 Electors

may be made by completing and filing in the Office of the Clerk, nominations on the prescribed form and accompanied by the prescribed nomination filing fee of $200, for the Head of Council (Mayor) and $100 for all other offices.

The filing fee is payable by cash, interac, certified cheque or money order.

One (1) Trustee to be elected to represent Haliburton County may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Municipality of Dysart et al, 135 Maple Avenue, Haliburton, ON.

French Public School Board Trustee            

Conseil scolaire Viamonde

One (1) Trustee to be elected for Sector 1 – Counties of Haliburton, Northumberland, Peterborough, Hastings; Cities of Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, and the Region of Durham may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the City of Oshawa, 50 Centre Street South, Oshawa, ON, or a local Municipal Clerk/Returning Officer within Sector 1.

A nomination must be signed by the candidate and may be filed in person or by an agent during regular business hours between May 1, 2026 and August 21, 2026, and between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day). In the event there are an insufficient number of certified candidates to fill all positions available, nominations will be reopened for the vacant positions only on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and such additional nominations, if required, may be filed in the office of the Clerk.

Electors are hereby given notice that if a greater number of candidates are certified than are required to fill the said offices, Voter Information Letters will be mailed to all qualified voters for the purpose of voting.
