Halloween in Haliburton
Get ready for a full evening of Halloween fun in Haliburton!
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the A.J. LaRue Arena will be transformed for an evening of Halloween activities for all ages. Start the night with family-friendly fun at Haliburton Haunt & Treat, then stick around as things get a lot scarier for Dysart After Dark.

5:00–6:30 p.m. | Family Friendly
Enjoy Trunk-or-Treat in the arena parking lot, then head inside for more Halloween fun. Costumes are encouraged!
Activities include:
- Trunk-or-Treat*
- Halloween-themed arena experience
- More family-friendly Halloween fun
*In the event of bad weather, Trunk or Treat will be moved indoors.
Want to participate in Trunk-or-Treat?
We’re looking for local businesses, organizations, community groups and residents to decorate their vehicles and hand out treats!
Participation is free, but registration is required.
Dysart After Dark
7:00–9:00 p.m. | Ages 10+
When the family-friendly fun ends, the arena takes a darker turn...
Dysart After Dark is a haunted walk-through experience featuring spooky spaces, eerie surprises and plenty of Halloween scares throughout the arena.
Recommended for ages 10+. Younger children may find the experience frightening. Parent/guardian discretion is encouraged.

We’re accepting donations of:
- Halloween decorations
- Props
- Lighting
- Spooky decor
Monetary donations are also welcome. Donations of $50 or more are eligible for an official tax receipt.
Donated items will help us create both Haliburton Haunt & Treat and Dysart After Dark.

Want to be part of the fun behind the scenes?
We’re looking for volunteers to help bring our Halloween events to life! Opportunities include event setup, decorating, assisting with activities, helping during the event and cleanup.
