Fall Activities

Step out and enjoy the fresh autumn air and the spectacular colours!

As we transition from one season to the next, make sure you are prepared for the activity prior to heading out.  Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back.

Always practice boat safety on the water. Do your part and wear your PFD. Drowning is preventable. Remember, the water temperatures drop drastically during the fall.

 

Make sure that you have a valid fishing license and you know what is in season for the lake you are fishing on.

A variety of hiking opportunities exist throughout the Municipality of Dysart et al and Haliburton County.

The Municipality of Dysart et al is home to one indoor rink, at the A.J.LaRue Arena, located at 728 Mountain Street.  

There are three outdoor rinks open in the Municipality, weather permitting.  The rinks are located at:

  • 76 Maple Avenue
  • Harcourt Community Centre
  • West Guildford Community Centre

There are numerous walking trail opportunities. Start your journey at Glebe Park.
