Festivals and Events

Dysart provides a fabulous environment for year round entertainment. Festivals and events like the Rotary Summer Fest, the Rails End Gallery Art and Crafts Festival, Colourfest, the New to You Community Yard Sale, and Stories in the Park, fill Head Lake Park with activity.

While the Municipality coordinates events like the annual Colourfest in the Fall and the BIA and Haliburton District and Lions Club organize the annual Santa Claus Parade, it takes many volunteers, businesses and not-for-profit groups working collaboratively to make these events the success that they have become. The local service clubs always seem to be a part of every local event, lending their volunteers and expertise.

The Haliburton County Farmers’ Market runs from the Tuesday following Victoria Day through to the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving. Look for the market in Head Lake Park, adjacent to Highland Street.
