Seasonal Load Restrictions - update April 22, 2024

Seasonal Load Restrictions end on April 22, 2024 for the southern region of the Municipality of Dysart et al.

Seasonal Load Restrictions remain in place for the northern region of the Municipality, including: Bitter Lake Rd, Blue Heron Rd, Cruiser Lake Rd, Dunn Rd, Haliburton Lake Rd, Hodgson Rd, Kennisis Lake Rd, Redkenn Rd, West Shore Rd, Wilkinson Rd.

On these roads, vehicles exceeding the 5 tonnes per axle load restriction will be subject to penalties under the Highway Traffic Act, Section 122. Watch and obey signs.

The Roads Department maintains 315 km of roadway within the Municipality of Dysart et al.

Of this, 204 km is hard topped surface and 111 km is a gravel surface.

Within our Municipality there are roadways which receive maintenance year round, and some only seasonally. There are many other private roads maintained either by individuals, or an association of property owners.
