EASTERN ONTARIO REGIONAL NETWORK

The Eastern Ontario Regional Network (EORN) is a non-profit created by the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus, that has helped to improve broadband access in Haliburton County.

Currently, EORN is working on a $213 million proposal to improve cellular data services in rural Eastern Ontario through public private partnerships to address gaps in coverage through installation of telecommunication towers.   The intention is for the project to be funded by mobile carriers, the Province and the Federal Government as municipal governments have contributed to the technical work required for the project.
