Open Gym Basketball

                The Municipality of Dysart et al would like to extend a big thank you to basketball enthusiast Gordon Cochrane for volunteering his time and organizing pick-up basketball this summer.  Gordon has organized a group of dedicated volunteers to help with this popular program. Youth ages 11-18 are encouraged to take part in this drop-in program.  The program is offered Wednesdays & Fridays from July 12th – August 18th at the Haliburton Highlands Secondary School Athletic Complex from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. This is a great way to have some fun and exercise! Discharging of Fireworks

With the kick off to summer this weekend coupled with Canada’s 150 Birthday celebrations the By-law Department would like to remind all citizens to be respectful of the time that personal fireworks are set off.  The Noise By-Law No. 2016-62 Section 2.3 states; “No person shall discharge or cause the discharge of Fireworks between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM” Thanks and Happy Canada Day Everyone!...

Bayshore Road is re-opened

Local residents, Fleming College and Glebe Park visitors will be pleased to see that Bayshore Road has just been re-opened to traffic.  That said, some construction work remains to be completed including guard rails and surfacing, but that work won’t affect access to the neighbourhood.
