2019 Final Property Tax Bills

The 2019 Final Property Tax bills were mailed out on Wednesday June 5, 2019.  The due dates for the final bills are July 10, 2019 and September 11, 2019.  Payments can be made via pre-authorized payment, telephone/internet banking services or by cheque.  Payment may be mailed to our postal address; if you require a receipt please provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope. You may also pay your taxes by cash or debit in person at the Municipal Office. If you have not yet received your tax bill please contact the office to inquire as to your account balance. If a mailing address change is required please notify the Tax Department in writing with the updated mailing address.  We do not take this information over the phone.  Penalty charges will still apply on late payments regardless of any change of mailing address....

Telemarketing Scam

It has come to our attention that an organization claiming to represent the local Fire Departments is soliciting funds over the phone. Be advised, the Fire Departments of Haliburton County and the Firefighters Associations DO NOT use a telemarketing service to seek donations over the phone. We remind residents to always be vigilant, and never give out personal information or money over the phone. Residents receiving unsolicited telephone phone calls from individuals representing Haliburton Fire Departments can report the incident to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Fraud Hotline at 1 (888) 495-8501....

NEW Fireworks Regulations for Dysart

The Municipality now regulates the dates and permitted times for the setting off of Consumer Fireworks within Dysart et al. Fireworks are permitted on New Year’s Eve and the weekends of Victoria Day, Canada Day and the Civic Holiday. For further details including the permitted times please see the Fireworks By-law No. 2019-41 under Services on the By-law & Licensing page. Display Fireworks Event Approval: In order to hold a Display Fireworks event a completed approval form is required to be submitted along with supporting documents as outlined in the Display Fireworks Manual by Natural Resources (NRCan).
