Celebrate a Nostalgic Christmas!

Christmas is a season for nostalgia and traditions – we invite you to come and get in the spirit of the season at the Haliburton Highlands Museum on November 29th from 1-4pm! Create some beautiful Christmas ornaments, decorate and enjoy delicious holiday treats and make some festive gifts for our woodland and feathered friends! At 2:30, join us for a short informal talk on the history of some of our most beloved holiday traditions! It’s an afternoon of fun for the whole family! 3rd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Run/Walk

Time to start planning what you are going to wear to the 3rd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Run/Walk.  There will be prizes awarded for creativity!  Dig through your closets, scour the thrift stores and craft isles.  Let yourself be inspired! Two routes are available this year: a 5 km route around Head Lake or a 1.5 km route within Glebe Park. Stay for refreshments and live Christmas music with Bill Gliddon after the run/walk. A minimum donation of $10 per adult is suggested, children are encouraged to participate!  The funds raised will go towards Haliburton Junction Skate Park. Registration is at 11 am and the run/walk will begin after the judging of sweaters at 12 pm....
