Kick Off Summer at the Haliburton Highlands Museum!

The Haliburton Highlands Museum has returned to summer opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday and Holiday Mondays from 10am-5pm. Historic Reid House (built in 1882) will be re-opening for the season on May 16th and on May 17th, we invite you to join museum staff for a celebration of Queen Victoria’s 196th birthday. The Municipality of Dysart et al is seeking a qualified applicant to fulfill the position of Equipment Operator. Under direction of the Roads Superintendent, the Equipment Operator performs duties related to the maintenance and construction of the Municipal roads system, including roads, bridges, culverts, drainage and other road/property. The incumbent works within the and guidelines of Municipal and Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures. Rate of pay will be pursuant to the CUPE Local 2142 Collective Agreement and based on a 40 hour work week. Any new permanent employee, during their probationary period, will be paid at the rate of eighty-five (85) percent of the jot rate until the end of his/her probationary period.
