Haliburton Lake Park Upgrades

The Municipality of Dysart et al received a $2,500 Hydro One PowerPlay grant that allowed the purchase and installation of new swing set equipment for the playground at Haliburton Lake in Fort Irwin. This new equipment also includes an accessible swing. PowerPlay is a Hydro One grants program created to support and enhance sports and recreation facilities in Ontario. Parks and Recreation staff worked with Ward 5 Councillor Walt McKechnie to implement this project. If you haven’t been to Haliburton Lake Park before, it offers a great playground, beach volleyball, a pavilion, privies and a beautiful sand beach for swimming with the family. 2nd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Run/Walk

Create your own ugly sweater, find one in your closest or at the 4 c’s and come out to the 2nd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Run/Walk.  The event will take place on Sunday, November 23 at 1 p.m.  Registration will take place at the Haliburton County Public Library. Come out and take part!  This fun event will finish off at the Old Meets New Cafe on Pine Ave.  Join us their for some refreshments and music!...
