2013 Tax Bills are in the Mail

The Municipality of Dysart et al would like to remind residents that the first and second installments of the Final Tax Bill for 2013 are due on July 17th and September 18th. If you have not received your tax bill, please get in touch with the Municipality at 705-457-1740 to confirm that we have your correct civic mailing address on file. The address change form is located on the Finance and Property Tax Page of this site. The chart on the top left shows the percentage of your tax dollars that go education, the County of Haliburton and the Municipality.  The allocation of the Municipal portion of your taxes is shown in the chart on the right....

Storm Road Damage

Thanks to the Roads Department and private contractors for working long hours today to repair numerous road washouts that resulted from recent torrential rains.  Please continue to exercise caution driving.  At this time, Kennisis Lake Road, Kennaway Bay and Watts Road have all been reopened for traffic after being impassible for most of the day. Celebrate Victoria Day Weekend at the Museum

Come to the Haliburton Highlands Museum on Saturday, May 18th between 2:00 and 4:00 pm for a pop-up museum in celebration of International Museum Day! Bring an item that represents an important memory for you (it doesn’t have to be old, just important to you!), then help to create an impromptu museum display. Socialize, share stories and learn about others through the objects they’ve brought. Refreshments will also be served. At the end of the event, you’ll take your item home, so it can continue to make memories. Celebrate the May long weekend the way Canadians would have during Queen Victoria’s lifetime!
