The Municipality of Dysart et al received a $2,500 Hydro One PowerPlay grant that allowed the purchase and installation of new swing set equipment for the playground at Haliburton Lake in Fort Irwin. This new equipment also includes an accessible swing. PowerPlay is a Hydro One grants program created to support and enhance sports and recreation facilities in Ontario. Parks and Recreation staff worked with Ward 5 Councillor Walt McKechnie to implement this project.
If you haven’t been to Haliburton Lake Park before, it offers a great playground, beach volleyball, a pavilion, privies and a beautiful sand beach for swimming with the family. If you’d like to add it to your list of great places to visit in #myHaliburtonHiglands, the civic address is 1267 Hodgson Road in Fort Irwin.
