March Break at the A.J. LaRue Arena

During the March break there will be shinny and public skating at the A.J. LaRue Arena. Shinny will run Monday – Friday and Sunday from 10:00 – 11:00 am and on Friday evening from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Full equipment is required. The cost is $5.00 per person. Public skating will run Monday – Friday and Sunday from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. The cost is $2.00 per person. Helmets are strongly recommended. Now Open! Spring/Summer Recreation Program Registration

Registration for spring and summer recreation programs is now open. Youth ball hockey registration will be open until Monday, March 25, 2019. Summer swimming lesson and youth softball registration are also open. Please note that the success of the ball hockey and softball program is dependent on volunteer coaches. If you are able to coach, please contact Andrea Mueller at: or 705-457-1740 x.635 to sign up. Volunteer coaches will be required to submit a Vulnerable Sector Check. Enjoy the Sweet Taste of Spring!

A Haliburton spring tradition returns this March Break! Visit the Haliburton Highlands Museum, on the outskirts of the village in Glebe Park, and learn firsthand how our early settlers would have made maple syrup. Make sure to taste the sweet results! The museum will be open every day of the March Break (March 9th – 17th) from 10am-5pm and will also be featuring a wide range of other activities, including children’s programs, outdoor adventure, genealogy, theatre and so much more!
