Recreational opportunities in Dysart et al!

Despite what you may think, spring is just around the corner and with that comes opportunities to get active.  Many of the municipal recreation pilot programs will continue through the spring and summer.  These programs include: urban/Nordic pole walking, walking Wednesdays, Play in the Park, lunchtime walking, and the Point in the Time After School Program.  In addition to these programs there will be special events/days created and new programs (for instance a learn to run clinic, mountain biking festival and a disc golf league to name a few).

Many clubs, organizations and summer camps are beginning to accept registration forms for the spring/summer.  On April 1 & 2, 2014 the Haliburton Soccer Club will hold registration in the Haliburton Highlands Secondary School gym foyer.  The registration will take place from 5-7 p.m. both evenings.

To be more efficient you are asked to bring a completed registration form.  The forms can be downloaded from the club’s website at www.halsoccer.org.  Make sure to attend the registration or fill out a form and mail it in with a cheque if you are unable to attend the registration.

A new policy is in effect for 2014.  Make sure to pay your fees on or before May 31st, otherwise your fees will automatically double if you have participated with the club in prior years.
