Haliburton Highlands Museum
Nestled away quietly behind the shores of Head Lake on Museum Road, the Museum tells the exciting story of the Haliburton area from the earliest settlers right up to the present day. In the winter, families can enjoy the toboggan hill and borrow snowshoes from the Museum to explore the trails.
The Haliburton Highlands Museum is fortunate to have a permanent and seasonal staff consisting of the Director and Curator and a summer student. The museum offers unique programs and workshops throughout the year with a focus on passing on traditional skills such as preserving, baking, cursive writing and much more.
Heritage magnets, Museum ball caps and “Haliburton – A History in Pictures” are all available for purchase when you visit the Museum this year. There’s no better place to find out about the history and culture of Dysart et al – the Haliburton Highlands Museum.
The Haliburton Highlands Museum webpage also provides a wealth of information that you can access at your fingertips.
