Head Lake Trail
Looking for an active way to explore in Dysart? The Head Lake Trail is a non-motorized, 6 km loop trail that links the Village of Haliburton with Haliburton Highlands Secondary School, Fleming College, Glebe Park, the Sculpture Forest and the Haliburton Highlands Museum. The trail can be readily accessed from the Haliburton town docks, where there is a sign kiosk that shows the route. Trail maps are available here and throughout downtown businesses. The Head Lake Trail winds through open park space, quiet neighbourhood roads and quiet woodlands. Trail surface ranges from paved to compact dirt, and can accommodate walking, mountain biking and sturdy strollers. In-town sections of trail are all paved and accessible to wheelchairs.
